In this episode, we discuss the cultural recognition of various gender expressions in Native American and First Nations people such as Two Spirit.
The most universal term that is used is the term two-spirit. Though every tribe varies in their preferred terminology and usages. We do our best to explain the history behind this identifier, as well as many of the Native celebrations of gender and expression before colonialism rocked North America. Join us in paying tribute to queer indigenous people.
